One thing I love about my job as Heart Ball Chairman this year is that I never know what I’ll be doing next. I got to have my 15 minutes of fame on May 15th on ABC-15’s Sonoran Living morning show with Dr. James Beckerman, author of The Flex Diet.
Dr. Beckerman is a Portland cardiologist who graciously flew to Phoenix on an unseasonably hot 107 degree May 15th day, not only to promote his book, but also to help Heart Ball Twenty Twelve.
On ABC-15, Dr. Beckerman showed Phoenix how to make three easy heart-healthy meals from his cookbook. His recipes are not only tasty, but also geared for getting ready for bathing suit season, which feels like it’s just around the corner with 4th of July weekend almost here.
Check out his recipes on abc15.com , by punching Dr. Beckerman May 15 abc15.com, Phoenix into your browser. You can watch him chop and cook, and see me say a few words about Heart Ball Twenty Twelve
Dr. Beckerman also said good things about Heart Ball volunteers and being in Phoenix on his national blog for WebMD. His link is located at http://blogs.webmd.com/heart-disease/2012/05/heart-healthy-at-any-age.html.
This doc is really going places. Thanks Dr. Beckerman for helping out Heart Ball and The American Heart Association in Phoenix!
We’re hoping you’re are scheduled for a break soon, maybe over a lovely July 4 weekend. How will you take a break from work – paid or unpaid – this summer? Where will your travels take you or do you just crave time in your own backyard?
